Scholarship Opportunity!

FWHA will be offering our scholarship contest again. The theme for the 2016 Scholarship award is: ‘Discover Your Neighborhood: The importance of neighborhood gatherings and gathering spots.’ The award will be offered to an outstanding high school senior student who submits a written essay that deals with the neighborhood history.

Any historical study dealing with events or places of the Frost Woods neighborhood is eligible for entry. All entries must be non-fiction works that develop a theme related to historical topics in the area. It is perfectly acceptable to submit entries that are also being used for a History Class.

Written essays should be about 2-4 pages in length (although longer essays will be accepted).

The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2016.
